Chapitre 1 : LE LIVRE / Chapter 1 : THE BOOK  >>> Gdynia

If all others accepted the lie,
then the lie passed into history and became truth.

                                                               1984 - George Orwell.

Chapitre 2 : LE CHATEAU
Chapter 2 : THE CASTLE

Marcin is teleported in the large room seen in the book.

Mais Élisa n'y est plus. Et... Cornelius n'est pas là ! A voix basse, Marcin l'appelle quand même. Aucune réponse, aucun bruit. Si !
But Elisa is not longer there. And... Cornelius is not there. In a low voice, Marcin calls him anyway. No answer, no noise. In fact, one hear the distant humming of a machine. The generator that supplies electricity to the numerous bright spots ? Marcin counts them mentally.

... 34 lampes exactement.
... 34 lamps exactly. And as many panels, desks and books.
The painted names cover in part the ancient gold inscriptions. One can read now : KLAMM, DARK VADOR, MORGOTH and also Dr No, B. B., Robur, C. Falcone, Rotwang etc... The names of the new masters of the world that have replaced the former members of the group Bilderberg created by Józef Retinger.

Each book is a biography complemented by slogans, speeches and many photos.

In the book of the architect Albert Speer, one can see a photograph of the North-South axis of Germania. In the foreground : the Southern train station.

Then he consults a collection of letters from Joseph G. addressed to Brigyda. For example, he advises her the study of the novel Perceforest that shows the building of a civilization and the establishement of a religion and said according to him : The child must not be raised to a level of consciousness but only to a degree of faith that does not make a man but keeps the child state.
No doubt, this strange library is a creation of Brigyda witch.

With the next book, Marcin learns that the strange design in the center of the library is the great Tree of possibilities that symbolizes the linh beteewn the upper and the lower world or the underworld. Everyone can create new branches, new leaves, new projects to change these worlds. (Click on the tree and propose your idea...)
Marcin leaves the hall observing the mosaic located in the center.

He is now in an anteroom, prolonged of a narrow corridor, where he discovers on a small wooden table a selfie he had given to Elisa and a pendant that reproduces the great Tree of possibilities.
The message written on the back of the photo confirms that he is in the castle of Brigyda witch. Elisa gives him an appointement to the other side of the lake.

... et un tableau, une œuvre expressionniste. Peur ou folie ?
Mais où est la sortie ...?
... and a painting, an expressionnist work. Fear or madness ?
But where is the exit ...?

The next room with empty containers, mysterious remedies and jars containing formol to preserve anatomical parts loks like the back room of an apothecary.

In the other corner of the room, Marcin notices some old books on a small table.

The door of the opposite room is partially open . But seeing a man wearing a strange hat, Marcin moves away on tiptoes.

A new door whith a label stating "Dr. MOREAU" opens into a brightly lit room...

... an unusual laboratory that Marcin, seeing no way out, soon leaves...

The biological shock caused by contact gives him hallucinations.

This is the last image of his nightmare. Premonitory dream ?

When he regains consciousness, Marcin is sitting in the courtyard. Sun is raising up. It's snowing.

By stairs, he leaves the castle, descends towards an esplanade and to the garden and finally arrives by the lake.
Shrouded in mist, everything is fixed, fluffy, frozen. The snow has stopped failing.

Suddenly, in a faint flutter of wings, a swan alights near him. How can we not think of the legend of the Swan lake and the spell cast by the terrible Rothbart... of Elisa ? Marcin believes hear music... (Please click on the image and turn up your speakers !)

But the swan moved away... Marcin has to walk more than one hour to reach the other end of the lake where he hopes to find Elisa...
Here the shore is wilder. The first rays of the rising sun pass throught the nearby forest.
Some swans sing...
The dawn had already, under the near approach of the sun, from rosy become golden.

... et un autre attrape un insecte. Où est Élisa ?
... and another swan catches an insect. Where is Elisa ?

It's snowing again. If Elisa has left footsteps, they are now obscured.

Marcin see directional signs. Oh, as he would like hiking ! The hope is reborn : a shelter is 7 miles.

He walks when suddenly a wolf appears in the middle of the path ! No, a coyote... or a spirit - what penetrating look ! - that seems to guide him.

Marcin marche... L'abri est en vue.
The path, in some places, is in fact a torrent... Marcin walks... The shelter is in sight.

But it's a ghost of the castle which is at the appointement !
- I am the very powwerfull Saga who has the knowledge; I am la dama número 12, a muse who for centuries inspires the poets. Proposes me a theme for reflection and if I like your idea you will be free.
After a moment of reflection, Marcin said :
- It's difficult to choose betewn dream and reality. The dream drives you mad and the reality is disappointing...

Le téléphone sonne ! C'est Élisa : nouveau rendez-vous ; cette fois-ci à la gare :
- Quelle gare ? demande Marcin.
Bip ! Bip ! Bip ! La communication a été coupée.
The phone is ringing ! It's Elisa : new appointment; this time at the train station :
- What station ? requests Marcin.
- Continue the path to the viewpoint ! You will see the city and you will understand. Join me quickly; I bought the tickets for Gdynia... Beep ! Beep ! Beep ! The call has been cut off.

From the top of the viewpoint, the view is wonderful. Germania ! The major North-South axis and just down the train station.

But the viewpoint is also the haunt of a majestic eagle !
What to do ? Elisa said to come quickly...

... The eagle - or a new metamorphosis of a lady of the castle ? - lays Marcin in a garden of the city.
